The music world is weeping the loss of a music legend. David Bowie passed away peacefully after an 18 month long secret battle with cancer, surrounded by his loved ones on the 11th January 2016. He passed mere days after his 69th birthday and after giving the world one final gift, his 25th studio album “Blackstar.”
You told us, we can be heroes, just for one day. But you will be a hero for eternity.
The world lost some light and colour this week. We lost a music icon and legend. RIP Starman, hero, “rebel rebel” and king of Glam Rock, David Bowie.
Gone but not forgotten, we also mourn the loss of Lemmy Kilmister, frontman, bass player and founding member of one of the first heavy metal bands in existence, Motorhead. On 28 December 2015, four days after his 70th birthday, Lemmy died at his home in Los Angeles from an extremely aggressive cancer in his brain and neck.
I’m not religious, but if there is a god, he/she is creating one hell of a band, that can perform on an eternal stage.
